You hear the terms 'mindful' and 'mindfulness' everywhere. But what does it actually mean to be mindful and to live mindfully?
Mindfulness has to do with slowing down. With allowing yourself to just 'be' and notice how you are. To feel your tiredness, your anxiety or your peacefulness.
Mindful living is also about giving conscious attention. What do you actually do when you notice that you are tired or restless? Do you feel comfortable giving space to such feelings and to experience what unfolds?
Consciously focusing your attention on the things that are important to you, that contribute to your well-being and that make your life and that of others a little nicer or better or more beautiful, that too is mindful living.
